Every studious biologist facing imminent global annihilation needs a sweet ride, and Alex is no exception. He has S.O.P.H.I.A., a shape-shifting, gas-guzzling, projectile-spewing paean to destruction on four wheels. Snowboarding with the Wii Balance Board
posted 2010-02-03
Riders featured in the forthcoming Wii™ video game Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding score big at Winter X Games 14 this past weekend in Aspen, CO. Hannah Teter took bronze and Gretchen Bleiler won gold in an amazing half pipe competition. Seth Westcott got his eighth career X Games medal with a silver in snowboard cross (SBX) and Nate Holland became the first athlete to five-peat in the Winter X Games by winning his fifth consecutive gold in SBX. Lindsey Jacobellis took her third straight X Games win with gold in the same event. On top of those amazing performances, the final roster for America’s 2010 Olympic Snowboarding team has been announced, and Destineer is very proud to congratulate each of the riders featured in Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding for earning slots on the team! In a few weeks, players will be able to compete against each of them in their best events in Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding for Wii™ from Destineer. With full Wii Balance Board™ accessory support, Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding features four core event types with an additional matching number of variants: ·        Half pipe: The ideal setup to show off the most breathtaking tricks, Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding drops you in the pipe alone to rack up the highest score, but also offers two variants – Endless Half Pipe (where good tricks earn extra time to keep the run going) and Dual Half Pipe for head-to-head splitscreen competition. ·        Snowboard Cross (SBX): A breakneck race to the finish, SBX features four riders at a time launching themselves down the mountain, trying to find the optimal path. Some friendly shoving might be the only way to clear your chosen line, so don’t worry about being gentle! ·        Slopestyle: Combining the tricking of half pipe with slalom’s white-knuckle precision speed, the Slopestyle events test players on all fronts. ·        Slalom: Speed is your friend, but accuracy getting around the gates correctly will earn you the top slot in Triple Crown Championship Snowboarding’s slalom races. One alternate challenge gives you precious time with each successfully-navigated gate to see how long you can make the ride last and another adds the friendly aggression of SBX’s shoves! Each of the main event types also feature multiplayer (for two to four local players) and Wii Balance Board support.
