Prior, founding sales executive with five startup enterprise software companies (2 IPO’s), most recently at Interwoven. Five-time President’s Hall of Fame & Sales Manager of the Year in IPO year. Don has been an avid computer geek and gamer since he was a kid. Now he has two children of his own, and enjoys learning with them and playing the right computer games with them too. Don has built a solid career in the technology industry creating new products and business models in senior sales, business development and product management positions in Ford, Interwoven, Infravio and most recently, Microsoft.

Managing Editor ( & Chief Car Racing Game Officer)

Born and raised in Germany, I paid around 400 German Marks (about $200) for a Sega Masters System II in 1987 (after playing OutRun at a local arcade during family vacation). A couple of months later I managed to talk my parents into buying a Commodore 64; strictly for learning software of course. Fast forward several years and I met our current Video Host and Editor Cola. Before you know we had a child ready to press buttons himself. Creating a family focused video game review website seemed like a logical and fun thing to do… So here we are.

Video Host

I joined KidConfidence as Editor and Video Host in March 2006. I grew up with the Atari 2600, Commodore 64, and sold Pepperoni’s (not kidding) at a fund raiser to afford a Nintendo NES in 1986. I worked as a Front-End Development Manager for Toys “R” Us Corp, where I was instrumental in the creation and operation of “R” Zone and Imaginarium departments. Today, the Imaginarium “boutique” offers a broad selection of educational toys from category leaders that promote creativity, learning and “smart play.”

Art Director
Vessie joined the KidConfidence team in April of 2006. Her art career began after competing for and winning a full academic scholarship for one of few student opportunities in the US. She crawled under an “iron curtain” and flew over an ocean in order to pursue design and photography. She graduated with honors and moved to California in 1996, where she built an extensive client list as a freelance artist. She has been a creative collaborator and a project lead for BioCare Medical, Miller Freeman Publishing, PacBell, CMG Mortgage, ASE Films and countless others.

Technical Producer
Ricky grew up playing and writing games as the oldest of six children. He started programming when he was nine after discovering Microsoft’s Gorilla game, and proceeded to write several small games of his own with a focus on multiplayer, as well as his own graphics editor to help development. He has created websites for CSU Monterey Bay and Performance Sealing and was the lead programmer for Itheru, a collaborative RPG, prior to joining Kidconfidence in June of 2006. As an unabashed addict to the strategy genre, he knows videogames can have a profound impact on kids, and is determined to help make sure that impact is positive.
