Game Review:

Call of Duty Modern Warfare is a meticulously crafted Military First Person Shooter (FPS) videogame.
Set in the present day, Call of Duty 4 tells a fictional, but credible story of Russian nationalists and the illegal trade of nuclear weapons with extremists in the Middle East. The plot is told thru film-like interlaced stories from the perspective of the United States Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance (Force Recon), which is the special operations force of the United States Marine Corps and the Special Air Service Regiment (SAS), the principal special forces unit of the British Army.

During gameplay, the player will operate a variety of authentic weapons and equipment, such as MP5SD silenced machine guns, portable anti-tank guided Javelin missiles, night vision goggles as well as mount and operate explosive charges. The single player campaign also includes a short mission where the player operates the guns of an AC-130H Spectre gunship and a short flashback mission of a two man sniper team following the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster.

Due to the level of difficulty, political storyline, action and graphical assassinations, we recommend the game for teenagers ages 14 and up. The ESRB rated the game “M” for Mature – the “one fits all” rating given to all action games in the US.

In addition to the outstanding single player campaign, Call of Duty 4 also offers 16 multiplayer maps. The PS3 and Xbox360 version supports 18 players online, while the PC version offers 32-player matches.

Overall, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is an excellent first person shooter videogame for teens and adults. The single player campaign is a little short, but we take quality over quantity anytime.

I give this game 5 out of 5 stars. The campaign mode is a little short, but still an extremely fun and amazing game experience. If you're in to multiplayer games then this is the best one out for xbox 360. This game is a must have!

i have a thirteen year old son and my husband and i bought this for him after he asked for it tons of times. at first i thought it was to violent, having not seeing the game yet, so i read some reviews online and it seemed it wasnt that bad of a game. i bought it for him and i watched how interesting the game is. The esrb ratings suck so bad this game barely has language and their is little blood. Besides esrb gives all shooter games the rating of m so it doesnt matter. Besides these war games can also teach you about history and the future and you could see what it is like to really be a soldier. This game really is NOT BAD AT ALL and if you are experiencing the same thing as me. Buy the game for them and you will see it is not bad. i would suggest this game for 13 yrs old and up mainly for violence. Also this game is not even close to as bad as any of these pg 13 movies out now

i rented this game for my 15 year old son, thinking it was going to be very violent and graphic. after watching him play for about 30 minutes, i came to the conclusion that this is not a very graphic or bloody game compared to games like condemned or gears of war. i would say this game is about equivilent to battlefield 2, which is rated t for teen
