Game Summary:
Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree tests your brains with fun problems for any age or level of education. Play against up to 8 people with 15 new activities -- memory, analysis, number crunching, visual recognition and quick thinking. The Wii Remote controller's hands-on control makes playing a cinch. In split screen two-player versus mode, the same puzzle problems will appear in a different order -- The first player to get 12 correct answers wins.
Game Review:

Originally Released for the Nintendo DS, Big Brain Academy proved that Edutainment games can indeed be fun AND educational at the same time. Big Brain Academy for the DS received an above average public reception and media attention. It was therefore only a matter of time until the “Big N” (Nintendo) would release a Wii version of the game. To no surprise, Big Brain Academy Wii Degree sticks to the proven formula, offering 15 mini games in 5 categories. The games difficulty is geared towards teens and adults, however, with a little help even players as young as 8 can enjoy the game. Big Brain Academy requires players to solve quick-thinking problems, use their memory, do math and study what they see on the screen to then click the answer. The individual games are fun and the Wii-remote controls are responsive. However Players will likely burn thru the 15 different mini games quickly. Then comes the learning portion of repetition to increase speed and accuracy. Big Brain offers 3 Multiplayer games, which unfortunately cannot all be customized in regards of difficulty, which makes the game frustrating for the younger members in the family. All in all, Big Brain Academy Wii Degree is a step in the right direction for Edutainment Games that is worth checking out.

Brain, 2008-12-02

There is to much "chattiness". There should be a way to skip over all of it, especially if you have played it more than once. It gets old, takes too long, and is repetitive. That said, it's a fun game.

Big Brain for Wii, 2008-10-20
Reviewer:        K. Smith
This is our first Big Brain game at all.
I was hesitent after reading many of the previous reviews which were largly a list of "too bad it's not the same as the DS version."

I'm glad I didn't listen to them! The game is interesting and challenging. We have quite the competition between the kids and parents and the kids friends.

I only have two complaints about the game:
1-Way to much text reading in both set-up and follow-up of tests.

2-Why only 8 slots for people?? How does this promote competition if you can't have any number of people with records (this is the same complaint with WiiFit).

Other than that, get it! It is great for working on yours brains plasticity.
