EA confirms Sims3 for 2009.
The Sims is a strategic life-simulation computer game created by game designer Will Wright, published by Maxis, and distributed by Electronic Arts. It is a simulation of the daily activities of one or more virtual persons (”Sims”) in a suburban household.
The Sims was first released on February 4, 2000. By March 22, 2002, The Sims had sold more than 6.3 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling PC game in history. Since its initial release, seven expansion packs and a sequel, The Sims 2 (with its own expansion packs), have been released. The Sims has won numerous awards, including GameSpot’s “Game of the Year Award” for 2000.

Yeah, it’s so realistic. I took away my guy’s fridge and he pissed his pants in the kitchen. Then he curled up into a ball and cried. I told him to play Guitar but he was too depressed.

FYI, the sims 3 will be released on the consoles but it will be a completely different game, as the previous sims 2 console edition was, gameplay will be different, there will be a story mode. and you will be unable to have children on the console edition. This is because it would take up far too much memory and disk space and the game wouldnt run particularly well.
Also, just for reference and warning, the sims 3 will take up as much as 12gb on its own. and a further 10gb for all expansion packs should they be released. So please make sure you have the space on your computer before investing in the game. though its well worth it, iv removed endless things on my pc to be able to run it.

Just so everyone knows it will be out on xbox n ps3 probably wii and ds aswel but it wont be released until after its been on the shelves for pc for a while thats what i heard, i work in game btw.

Yeah Sims 3 is gunna be great, but i wonder if that it will be 2 - 4 player on the consoles and also the pc verson will be way better than the other consoles (PS3 , xbox360 wii and so on) because it would be harder to make neighbourhoods and you would probably only be able to only make 1 neighbourhood becuase there wouldn’t be enogh memory to store it.

I was wondering if the Sims 2 discs will be playable with Sims 3? I’ve purchased every single Sims 2 disc, and was wondering if I have to start a whole new library of Sims 3 discs. Either way, I am looking forward to playing the game! I LOVE the sims!

The Sims 3 outta’ be released on the 360!!! The only problem would be acheviements… One major issue is that my computer can’t handle all the good new games. Not even Sims 2!!!!

I really hope it is released on 360, Not every one can afford a new graph card! I installed the sims 2 and it was like stop motion, nothing ran smoothly and would crash if i went to a shop or somewhere that had a lot of people (more than 5).

just lettin everybody know that sims 3 willl NOT be released on the wii or any of the nintendo consoles, this is the result because the developers will have to adapt the game incredibly in order for it to meet the needs and controls of the wii. Whereas the xbox 360 and the ps3 has straightforward controls……..

heya…omg sims is like so awesome…but not every one can afford ps3 and xbox consoles!!! i’m still hanging in wid the old ps2 at the mo…wont they do it for the good old ps2??? is props a stupid question lol!!! but do they even make games for the ps2 any more??? anyways I LUFF SIMS!!!

The problem is that people that have very low spec computers wont be able to play Sims 3. They’ll turn to the consoles but wont be able to access any custom content that other users create which, can be a very important part of gameplay especially for myself.
It’d be really clever if the PS3 (which has access to internet) would be able to download these user created items/hacks and perhaps the 360 could download them from the live market place.
If this isnt intergrated into a possible console version I probably will not buy. Sims2 has only ever been good on the PC because of the endless downloads you can get.

The Sims game are a Wii exclusive and if you haven’t notice a lot of the Sims game came out for Wii and nintendo ds Like MySims and SimAnimals and I haven’t seen any games for PS2(3) Xbox(360) lately

aww, i just looked up system requirements for pc. Looks pretty high (2ghz pentium 4) and the 360 version will probably be crap. For the guy who asked if they could make a ps2 version, wtf r u smoking? They couldn’t even make a decent sims 2 game on ps2. Sorry man, but i don’t think they will make one for ps2. Well, i guess sims 3 on 360 will probably b about as good as sims 2 on pc. (i hope you can design and live in urban environments- and not like the Urbz, that game sucks)
