Wizard of the Coast Gleemax (Magic The Gathering) goes Web2.0
Centered around three pillars – Community, Editorial Content and Games – Gleemax plans to facilitate user-generated content through an online social network; Wizards of the Coast editorial content, game reviews, blogs, user profiles, and a gaming portal housing on-line Wizards of the Coast (WotC) games. Along with WotC games, the gaming portal will feature Indie games, each selected based on their innovative use of strategy and compelling gameplay.
According to Gleemax the new website will include the following features:

o Wizards of the Coast Editorial Content: Gleemax provides focused content for gamers with unique up-to-date information on popular strategy games, tournaments and category announcements. Along with articles and interviews, the site features custom content from various industry leaders in the form of blogs and message board postings. Wizards of the Coast will offer fans an inside look into the thoughts of one of the top gaming companies in the world
o Community: Gleemax, an industry first, offers a gathering ground for strategy gamers to converse and interact on their favorite topic: games. Gamers and retailers can share personal interests, stories and insights and community tournament information via customizable personal profile pages. Community features allow gamers to meet, strategize and interact outside of traditional game play.
o Games Portal: A haven for gamers who are expecting more from their entertainment, the Gleemax game portal is the single destination for titles that compel, challenge and inspire gamers and developers alike. Along with internally developed titles based on exclusive WotC properties, the Gleemax game portal will provide a prominent distribution channel for Indie games, all stamped with the WotC seal of approval - ensuring that all downloadable content has met strict quality, creative and strategic game play attributes.
