If you ever wanted to know what it’s like to be an ottsel, without having to be knocked into a pool of Dark Eco, then this game is for you. Even if you don’t know what an ottsel is, you would be thoroughly entertained making his acquaintance in this game version for the PSP.

Daxter is a furry creature mix between an otter and a weasel who is on a quest to rescue his friend Jak. In doing so he will battle many obstacles including exterminating nasty metal bugs, jumping between trains, climbing and riding. After completing a number of tasks Daxter can scoot back to his bed where he dreams some very funny dreams. All of those are spoofs of box office hits like The Matrix and Braveheart.

The graphics of this game are very good and the animation in the cut scenes is some of the best for a hand held device. The game play can be a bit tricky with the PSP controls but fortunately the setbacks are minimal.

Overall this game is enjoyable, fluid and a great title for the PSP.
