The pretense world of Pro Wrestling demonstrates that cheating, torture, violence and verbal abuse are effective problem-solving techniques. – Probably what you had in mind for your children…

Sarcasm aside;
Tailored for teens and adults (ages 12+), WWE SmackDown! Vs. Raw 2008 is an action brawler containing 50 superstars from Raw, SmackDown, ECW and the WWE’s past.
Players can choose from several different game modes such as Career Mode, Super Star, Tournament Mode or Hall of Fame Mode to only name a few. The core gameplay primarily consists of executing different button combinations. Correct timing is key. The games graphics and most of the game modes only received small upgrades from last year’s game. Owners of previous versions may therefore consider renting the game first. Probably the most prominent (and controversial) feature is the upgraded Weapon Wheel. While playing an ECW Match, players can select from eight different weapons. This is the place where your kids will find barbwired 2×4 (yes, they can light them on fire too), sledgehammers, chairs and other items to torture their rival in the name of entertainment..

“While in GM Mode the player must also hire personnel to write storylines for the wrestling tour. Huuuh, what do you mean Pro Wrestling is not real?!”

KidConfidence Pro Wrestling Guide For Beginners 101:
A wrestler never gets disqualified for using an illegal tactic. In fact, the success of the “villain” Wrestler is directly correlated with his willingness to break the rules. Typically, the champion will abide by the rules and be constantly frustrated by the cheating of the villain. The hero usually only wins when he abandons the rules and resorts to villainous tactics.

Bottom Line:
WWE SmackDown! Vs. Raw 2008 is the number one wrestling game on the market for a good reason. Fans will find plenty of modes, matches, tournaments and customization options to keep them busy for a good amount of time. Parents with kids under the age of 13 should think twice before buying the game.

    Just an incredible game.I’m a 12 year old and i think that the parental caution stuff in the review here is just un-neccesary.First of all generations of kids just watch WWE on tv with their parent’s support usually.The weapon wheel is in no way controversial since its not like the barbed wire 2X4 is gonna rip your guts out and spill the blood all of the floor.Sure you’ll bleed from the head if u take a chairshot or ddt to the head but nothing you don’t see on tv.Exactly where did the word controversial come from when NO ONE made it controversial?So basically Kidconfidence wants to deny players the right to choose a ladder instead of getting random weapons is that right?.And whats up with the illegal rules 101?Its full of lies.You don’t need to cheat EVER to win.There are fighting styles for that reason and the ability to COUNTER dirty tactics.The review mentions nothing of DQ rules for weapon use in a basic DQ match.”Heroes” are referred to as faces and “Villains” are referred to as heels so kidconfidence please use the correct wording and don’t say that is a match tactic because its not,Look at Jeff hardy and Matt hardy,they took cheating and never used any of their own and have been faces their whole careers.Why did was the word torture used in the review i do not know.The basis of the most matches even extreme rules matches is to simply batter the opponent and go into a finisher and go into the match ending pinfall,submission,escape from cage or knock-out.Obviously the reviews at KidConfidence knows nothing of Wrestling or how its done…Idiots…
