Based on the successful Nickelodeon Cartoon, Avatar The Last Airbender this is second videogame in the Avatar series. The videogame follows roughly the storyline of the TV shows second season.

Our family regularly enjoys the cartoon. Everyone who has watched Avatar will agree that the show has great content for a videogame. Nintendo’s motion sensing Wii controls could have been the perfect input device, to top it off.

What went wrong?
The Wii controls appear to be added as a last minute afterthought. The controls are unprecise, unresponsive and at times downright broken. It was common for us to get stuck in focus mode (regardless of what character) for extended period of times. Which made our character an easy target for the computer opponents. Ang, Katara and Sokka looking like freaks because of poor graphics only makes matters worse.
The game is rated E 10+ but can easily be played by players 8 and older. Your kids will fight generic bad guys such as Fire Nation Soldiers and a variety of creatures. Avatar involves some platform jumping and small environment puzzles. The player will need to switch between characters depending on what special abilities are needed to complete the task. The game offers a cooperative multiplayer mode, where players are working side by side. Players cannot damage or hurt each other, which is an important aspect of family friendly and “bicker” free multiplayer gaming among kids.
Overall, it is sad to see such a popular and well-written cartoon to be turned into such a poor videogame.

When you are trying to make a water bridge or the earth to move up you must fisrt press z… hold the controller up…. then point it down and hold it there. you will feel a rumbel in the remote.. stay where it is rumbeling that is where the bridge will be made.

I am having my own problem too i cant get past the sliding rocks in the library section it is just getting to the last rock.. is there a trick to it.. i have been at this last part for 4 days now.

It is hard to beat azula by yourself get the second player to help to the other charater from stupidly getting him?or herself killed. second player will work if you just push thw 2 button on the remote when the game is in play. if that diesn’t work check the batteries, that was my problem.

Getting past the owl… when you get to the last wall and you can’t get any further and the owl nis breaking threw tring to kill you. Have Aang knock over a berrel of water. and then freeze the lock to get out. I could of only wished the berrel was a little more obvious, it is to the right of the lock.

And BTW getting past the sand sucks and i tried for three days to do it. but it is possible somhow, it is just knowing the waiting game. .

Characters freeze up on Wii. Stay locked in “special attack” mode, and you cannot dodge, move, aim or anything. Then you die.
Seems random as it occurs. LAME.
