Sonic (Sega) and Mario (Nintendo) will compete head to head in this officially licensed videogame for the 2008 Olympic Summer Games in Beijing, China.

The game will feature over 20 different olympic events and a variety of unlockable fantasy events. Four players, as young as 5 years can play together. The game makes excellent use of the intuitive motion sensing controls of the Nintendo Wii videogame console. All instructions are given graphically, which essentially eliminates the requirement to have any reading skills at all.

Mario And Sonic: Olympic Games is bound to be great family entertainment. The game is somewhat similar to Wii Sports, which comes free with every Nintendo Wii console in North America. However, Mario And Sonic: Olympic Games will offer more sporting events and much better visuals, compared to Wii Sports. See for yourself - watch our publisher interview with Nintendo below.

Stay tuned for our upcoming video review. The game is scheduled for release on November 6, 2007
