Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure is an outstanding puzzle-adventure game for the Nintendo Wii.

The story revolves around (wanna-be) pirate Zack and his sidekick, a flying golden monkey, called Wiki. The games objective is rather simple – collect Treasure Chests, which contain precious golden skeletal parts of famous Captain Barbaros. Once all skeletal parts are found, this can easily take somewhere in the range of 30 hours, the old pirate captain will grant Zack a wish. No, I am not going to spoil it here.

As with all good pirate treasures, there needs to be a puzzle solved in order to get to it. (more…)

Guitar Hero 3 – Legends of Rock is a music rhythm game. As the title implies, this is already the 3rd installment of the popular videogame series with the plastic guitar controller.

Assuming your family is new to Guitar Hero, here is how it works:
An extended guitar neck is shown on screen, scrolling towards the player. As the song progresses, colored markers indicating notes travel down the screen in time with the music. (more…)

EA, MTV Games and Harmonix have finally announced the 45 tracks players will get to play in “Rock Band”. The music game will also include thirteen additional unlockable bonus tracks - yet to be unveiled. (more…)

This is a question which all developers probably ask themselves when they are brainstorming on a new project. “What are going to be the “hooks” in this game which will differentiate it from the common denominator?” After all in today’s crowded gaming market there is always some coronation for the greatest game.

This is the longest list of videogame releases for a single week in October, I have ever seen. I am having a hard time believing that all these games can generate profit… Especially, considering that next weeks videogame release line-up is just as long. But you never know, Gaming is bigger than Hollywood after all.
