This may go a little beyond my usual “Family videogames” and “ Best videogames for kids” related blog entries. But guess what – Commodore is back. Remember the Commodore 64, commonly referred to as C64, released in 1982. 1.02 MHZ and 64KB was all it took to become the best-selling personal computer model of all time. After the Amiga days in the early nineties the name and brand Commodore kind of disappeared for a while, but it turns out C= is back.

breadbox skinCommodore Gaming currently sells powerful gaming machines (PC’s) in the UK, as well as PC Skins. You gotta love the “Breadbox” Skin (left), which gives your Intel® Core™2 Extreme Quad-Core a nice old school look.

Apparently the UK is not enough and therefore Commodore decided to come to the US. EA’s former VP of Sales Bill Sims will run US operations. No pricing or availability info has been given out yet, but Commodore said they want to become the price/performance leader. Don’t they all… (?) Good Luck C=
