Microsoft is leading the pack in what is the most ambitious marketing plan for a single video game release, ever.
“This September, Halo 3 will push video game entertainment into the forefront of mainstream culture,” said Chris Di Cesare, director of creative marketing at Microsoft. “Teaming up with some of the world’s strongest and most recognizable brands is trailblazing new paths and cementing video games as big entertainment on par with major event films, and is a testament to the excitement and anticipation intrinsically linked to Halo 3.”
Partners include Pepsi, 7-Up, Mountain Dew, BurgerKing, Comcast and Pontiac.
Halo 3 represents the third chapter in the Halo trilogy—an international award-winning action series that grew into a global entertainment phenomenon, selling more than 14.5 million units worldwide, logging more than 650 million hours of multiplayer action on Xbox LIVE®, and spawning action figures, books, a graphic novel, apparel and an upcoming film adaptation.
Parents should be aware that Halo 3 is an “M” for Mature rated First Person Shooter Game. The ESRB recommends “M” rated games for players ages 17+. We played the Beta and feel that Halo 3 is one of these games where it would be nice to have an in-between “T” for Teen (12+) and “M” for Mature (17+) rating by the ESRB. Parents are strongly cautioned to determine the age appropriateness on an individual level.

I dis agree kids should be able to have some fun i have played the halo games with my kids when i think of halo i think of star wars. And my kids play those games to. For instance my son has a game called star wars republic commando which is basically the as halo 1 and 2 . My opinion is that if they are 13 thy should have the choice to play or not. Also i have done some research saying that halo 1 originally was T for teen and that it was for mild language and violence and gore but the violence is shooting at aliens and the gore is purple blood i mean its fake blood is not red and u can turn off the blood plus u cant even see the person because there wearing armor so why does it mater and the guns aren’t real so its like star wars.
