Assuming you just paid $600+ for a PlayStation3, you would definitely expect the best graphics available compared to any other -lower priced- gaming console, right? Wrong!
According to the second “Xbox 360 versus PlayStation 3 Graphics Comparison” by gaming enthusiast website Gamespot.com, Sony’s PS3 clearly can’t match the graphical quality and detail of Microsoft’s Xbox360. For the second time Gamespot tested a variety of different games from multiple genres, all of which favored the Xbox360. Also the results were not as devastating as in the first test conducted in December 2006, the test still proves that Sony’s PS3 is far from being the graphical overlord that it claims to be.

The images below demonstrate the difference in graphical detail. Compare the texture of the building wall and windows. PS3 Spiderman looks fuzzy.

most of the test carryed out by varied sites such as gamespot are incorrect, the PS3 default settings give you the worst graphics it can give out, tweaking the advanced settings will give you a much better output.
