KidConfidence Video Review for Virtual Magic Kingdom (VMK)

Virtual Magic Kingdom (VMK) is a free online multi-player game, designed to let players ages 8-14 experience Disney Theme Parks from their home.

Players can create their own character and explore all the (well-known) lands such as Frontierland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Mainstreet and New Orleans Square. Each land offers different minigames, unlockables and accessories to decorate the player’s own personal room. VMK offers a safe chat. Conversation in the Kingdom is limited to a pre-defined dictionary of acceptable words and is monitored on a periodic basis. Only words that appear in the VMK dictionary are useable by Players. This only includes words considered suitable for the game. This filters out swearing, racist and sexist terms and other words unsuitable for children. It also filters out e-mail addresses, phone numbers and city and state names. Players who use approved words as substitutions for numbers and other disallowed words to convey personal information will be banned from VMK for their own protection. Virtual Magic Kingdom even has pre-defined opening hours: 10:00 a.m. — 1:00 a.m. EST,
and 7:00 a.m. — 10:00 p.m. PST. The bottom line is that VMK is a very smart and effective way to “brainwash” your kids. It’s safe and fun – but your kids are likely to start asking for that trip to Disneyland.

   OMG!!i luv this game n i recommend it 4 tweens VMK staff keep it safe so u can’t say wat ever u want and u can’t say personal information or any of that stuff and ive even heard about adult going on it!!(mostly because there child goes on it)

   VMK is an amazing game, and they have new furniture and features all the time!

   – As for adults playing it, there ARE actually quite a few adults who play it, and they have just as much fun as the kids!

   VMK is a great place to go to disney when you could be miles and miles away!

   Strongly Recommend it!

   i am a vmk player.omg it’s so fun!its free too so we dont have to pay for games like on bigfishgames.com or other places like that.i went to walt disney world and they’re actually what got me into vmk!i recomend it.it’s very safe.the ignore button blocks out words from ppl who bug u and the report button,u can get them in trouble if they r saying innapropriate things.play it!

   Vmk is a boring game. All you can do is play mini-games (which are boring) and chat with people whom you do not know.
   It’s all based on trading and some people might scam their own friends for items.
   Avoid this one. =D

    OMG! i love vmk!!!! i played way before i saw the video for vmk, but i loved it way before i saw the video for vmk…. I just love it!! YES! you should play!!! its awesome!

    i so love vmk!!! but the old stuff like cowboy pants, princess tops crowns and other good stuff people we can’t have anymore and ppl won’t trade with us, we want them back so we have a chance to get it every week

    VMK rules. I’ve been playing it for a little over two “ears” you really get addicted. It’s safe, and really fun. Just reading the news ltter is fun. I love it, if you play it you know you do too :)

    VMK is a great online game, gaining an account is simple and it is a MUST PLAY for anyone! Unfortuantly there is a developed langage called “caps” of which you can type personal or inappropriate things on the game, and some adults also play this game- those are the only flaws I’ve found. This is just a great child orianted game!

    vmk is a grrrrrate site for kids i am a kid me and my friends play it i play it when i can i love vmk i recamend it to every one if i could i would give vmk 200,000,000 thumbs up is is awesome!!! my mom used to not let me talk to ppl online but i told her and showed her how safe it was and showed her how the safe key gaurd works and now i mtalk to ppl online!!

    i absolutly love this game. i may be a boy in the game but i know how to win the ladys hearts on the game. i already have a wife on it. we love to chat. but i have terrible news for all who love vmk…. they plan to close vmk. this is no april fools day joke either! on may 21, 2008 vmk.com will be no more. whhhhhhaaaaaaa! i to sad to talk anymore!
